Indian test takers preparing to take the IELTS exam now have access to a new feature called IELTS One Skill Retake. This feature allows test takers to retake any one of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) if they did not achieve their desired score in that skill the first time around.
One Skill Retake facility is currently available in eligible IELTS Computer Delivered test centers in India. Test takers who choose to retake a skill will receive a second Test Report Form (TRF) with their new score, which can be used for migration and study purposes.
Depending on their score, test takers can choose whether to use their old or new TRF for the skill they retook. This feature is currently available for test takers who have opted for the Computer Delivered IELTS test. IDP, co-owner of the IELTS, plans to launch
One Skill Retake' for other countries soon.
